Rue Madame-New Apartment

Ok...so we changed apartments this morning...and just when we thought it couldn't get any better...IT DOES.

The location, the street, the DOOR, everything about this apartment is so chic. It's smaller, but whatever...

We spent from one o'clock till 6pm in the Luxembourg Gardens, which is a 1 minute walk from our new apartment. NO metro ride! I have so much to say and tell you about this day. It was just....so....french.

We just had dinner of scrambled eggs with brie cheese, french bread toast, and wine, and it was SO good. Scott cooked.

Here is one of the many, many, videos I took today in the gardens. Really...you must, must come here! It's fab-u-lous.

I also have to say THANK YOU for the many, many comments. If I sat and personally answered each one, it would take up my whole vacation. I just want every single person that has commented to know how much I really appreciate it, and how much your words have meant to me. Scott and I read every comment, every night together. He enjoys is as much as me. I really just want to share Paris with you in a real way. Not just the way you see on TV and in movies, but all of it... the romantic, the beauty, the nitty-gritty, the fun... the way a "normal" (?) person experiences it.

Some of you are new to this blog, so I want to let you know that this is our 4th trip here in 4 years. You might wonder why we aren't at all the big sites...it's because we've done all of those...more than once. This trip has been more about just being Parisian...the best way 2 Texan's, (now Floridians), can pull it off!

Thanks again,
Teri and Scott

P.S. Just so you know...I can feel it all over... I HAVE gained weight!!!! The experiment is a bust. Americans DO get fat! I will post my new weight when I get home, but just so you aren't shocked...it's not going to be pretty!

Teri,
Your blogs just keep getting better and better--so much so, that I asked my husband to come in and sit down beside me to read a few. We have laughed together, reminiscing about all our experiences in our favorite city of Paris too. I'm leaving London tomorrow for you to enjoy soon....

Not only do you have a sweet husband to haul your bags, but one who cooks for you, too! Your dinner sounded delicious and your video was a beautiful, unhurried scene of precious children. I can tell your heart is full. What a dream vacation.

I hope we get to see the DOOR :-)

I literally just teared up watching this. What I remembered most about Luxembourg Gardens were the sounds and the light and you've captured both here. I experienced such tranquility and peace when I was here and also at the park behind Notre Dame. Thank you so much for letting me see it again!!!

(full blown crying now, can't believe it has such an effect on me :) )

Brie and wine for breakfast! How French... how decadent.... and how "chic." It all sounds and looks wonderful.

Teri and Scott,
Loving all of this! Teri, you should have begun writing long ago. Wait... I think I remember some song writing many years back. Should I post the video?!
Glad to see you are having a wonderful time.

Char....I HAD to comment...the eggs and brie and wine were for a late DINNER, not breakfast!!!!!!!

Didn't want anyone to think we had totally lost our minds!

Lori...no, you may not post any songs or videos or anything from my past. I'm crazy, but not that crazy.
Bohemian Rhapsody anyone??

I am commenting on this at 6:15am because our telephone has an alarm set on it! We have to get out our translator book and figure out how to unset it!

Enjoy every bite! You can always lose weight when you get home, but you won't find the croissants and baguettes and those memories last a lifetime! Have a ball, both of you!
