Thursday in Paris

Thursday was a long day of wandering...all over St. Germain des Pres. We started at Place Vendome, where Fashion Week was in full swing. We ate a fabulous lunch of steak and pomme frites, and took off walking. We ended up making a purchase...Scott was determined I get a new purse, but instead we found a coat. I've always heard you should use leopard as an accessory. Well, even petite me decided to use it as the whole outfit. Pics to follow. I guess the shop windows got to me.

We were also walking along and found, quite unexpectedly, some perfume a certain blog friend asked me to pick up for her... we were so surprised, and so excited.  I had written down the perfume in detail, and the shop owner explined it all to us... why we couldn`t find it at Sephora anymore, etc...she was awesome, even with the language barrier!

We walked along the river, looking for the French version of Harry Potter that we saw before, and couldn't find again...sorry Meagan, thought you might like that.  Walked on and on to get my mom something I decided we had to get...then ended up at the Marias along tiny, crooked streets...so French.

One more day...so sad...but I do miss my kids and grandkids a bit! My youngest has Homecoming, which I am missing for the second year in a row, even though we planned our trip around the date. How were we supposed to know she would get invited to Homecoming at a different High School???
 MOM...take pictures please!

We ended the evening near the apt...doing something I said I would do for years...see top photo.

Teri I got your fab Louvre postcard. Thank you and Scott dearly again for the note, thinking of us enough to update us along your journey. One more day!? How fast it all was.

What a wonderful, happy picture. You look like you are on cloud nine.
Whenever a friend has mailed me a postcard from over seas it has taken weeks to arrive - I just now got a particular post card from Paris, yes, yours. Can not believe it came so soon. A "Thank You" does not begin to express how much I appreciate your kindness and thoughtfulness, but I will try. Scott and Teri, thank you.
Enjoy Paris.

Love the picture on the carousel! My mother in law wanted to do that so bad but the one we found was not open at the time. It looks like fun.

Well you look fabulous as usual! How did I get so lucky (blessed) to have you for a daughter.

I know I will be dead jealous of your leopard coat but I will try to be happy. I wanted the skin on the one Bill killed for a coat. darn!

Y'all have a great trip home. Lexi is fine. Tonight a football game and tomorrow night Homecoming. She is fun to have around.

Last night Meagan brought the 2 greats over. When they left Leila said "I am so happy I got to come over to see you and Granddaddy. Sweet and smart little 3 yr. old.

I cannot believe some of you have already gotten your postcards! That was so fast! Hopefully, everyone's will arrive safely...except one. I woke up the other night, and realized the one address I left at home was my brother Jeff and sister-in-law Lori! I have a postcard for you, but it won't be postmarked Paris! So sorry...I tried, but left your address at home. It's still too new for me to have it memorized.

Thanks, friend, for sharing your days in Paris with all of us. I've enjoyed visiting the City from afar. You always add your special touch that draws us in and makes us happy we tuned in.

Safe travels back home.

P.S. Thank goodness for Cameras and MOMS --- to help capture the moments we can't. Enjoy all the photos of Lexi's homecoming when you get back. :)
