Paris in Real Time

I have always marveled at how quiet the city of Paris is... but there are beautiful sounds everywhere that capture the essence of the city...

Here are a few of my favorites...

From our apartment. Oh how I wish I could hear this sound on a daily basis...

From the steps of Sacre Coeur. We've seen this guy 2 years in a row. I could sit here for hours... and often do. I marvel that he hauls this harp up and down these steps. One late night Scott and I took a bottle of Champagne to these steps and sat gazing at the city... seriously... I felt like I was in a novel...

Okay... close your eyes or you might get vertigo... but aren't these French guys the CUTEST? I just adore them ;)

Oh gee... now I miss it more than ever!

Had to share... Scott is in the next room playing these videos, and all I can hear are giant sighs... it's kinda sad!

He just told me he forgot to check Paris airfares today. He admitted he checks about THREE times a day! He's obsessed!!!!

Teri,
All that and it's not officially an amusement park! I love the sounds and the sights of Paris. Poor Scott, let him take you back to Paris. Some women would kill for your problem. Oh, dear my husband wants to take me to Paris AGAIN! What should I do?
Answer-GO!

Oh, Teri...how can I thank you. Hmm...how can this city across the ocean be a beacon to us? To this day I can distinctly remember my small town Texas feet touching down on Parisian cobblestone and feeling so easily at home. It is so, so sweet that you and Scott share this love between you both...and I am like him. I get into checking ticket prices "just in case"....I think it comes from the time (years, and years back) where, because of a computer glitch AirFrance sold about 20 tickets, accidently, online for $99 US ....roundtrip and had to honor them...lucky ducks!

Using all our senses to fully appreciate Paris--that's a great idea. It's true you can shut your eyes and imagine yourself there. You tell, Scott, if he finds any great rates for flights, to share the news with all of us. Can you imagine a flight full of your blogger friends tagging along with you?
